I'm not your typical Death Metal listener. In fact, Deicide is the only music of this type I listen to. Why? Nostalgia from my pubescent "anti-establishment" high school years most likely. hehe.

I love music from all genres. There's just something about Deicide I click with. No not the message they bring, not the brutality, not even negativity. It's the music. This music is masterful at the core. There's a lot of depth to it. Everyone I know couldn't disagree with me more, but there is.

Face it .. anyone (not metal) and without an open mind would be done listening mid the 1st track. I love every minute of this album. I love it even more mixed with everything else on my play list. Going from Enya's "Orinoco Flow" to Deicide's "In the Eye's of God" might be too harsh for the normal music lover to handle. For me it's like how a movie soundtrack can misdirect your emotions. I'm just using this as an example of course. Having this album in my play list spices things up. I must say when a track from "Till Death Do Us Part" comes up unexpectedly, I savor every moment, because I know it will soon be over and I will have to endure yet another harsh change. That's the beauty of this music. It's a conduit into a whole other frame of mind.

This album, from production down to the essence of each individual who contributed to it, is fantastic. This will be my Metal fix for years to come and hope Glen and Steve Asheim continue filling the airwaves full of hate and misery, so obscure gentiles like myself may continue to dip our collective feet into the fire.

5 stars. Amazing album!!
