When I first got this, I didn't really know what to expect. Is it really a biography? Will it just be spoken word or songs that represent the band's history?
Well, it turned out to be the former, and I was a little annoyed when the commentator (for lack of a better word) started reading about the band's early days. But I decided to keep listening, and as I did, I started to get more interested. Before I knew it, the CD was over, and I wanted to hear more.
Sure, this is just a woman reading to you the history of the band, but it's a good "read", filled with information and tidbits you may not have known before. If you're a fan of P.O.D., you'll want to pick this up -- if not new, then used -- to learn a little more about where they came from and where they've been, the hardships they've endured, etc. You'll hear about their early years on Rescue Records, their signing to Atlantic Records which marked the start of their rise to fame, Marcos' departure from the band in 2003 and Truby's arrival shortly thereafter. True "Warriors" will enjoy this and find it worth the money, while casual fans may want to borrow this from a friend if they get the chance. This should have been a DVD, but it's interesting enough still that it gets a thumbs up from me.
